Welcome Teachers
Are you teaching in a high school?
Congratulations!
High school is an exciting stage in your students' life. Many years down the road, when your students are holding important posts in their respective stations in their industries, they will remember the high school days when their teachers nurture them and help them arrive at the place that they are in now.
If you have been a teacher for as long as I have, you will agree with me that the hardest part of a teacher's job is to motivate our students to work hard for their future.
A good way to motivate your students is to allow them to get a glimpse of the bright future ahead of them.
If you take a few minutes a week to help students look at their gifts and talents, suggest the field or industry in the job market that they can work in when they graduate from college, you will be able to motivate them.
Let your students talk about their dreams and visions for themselves and help them see the diverse fields and industries in the job market. Sometimes students' understanding of the job market are only limited to what they can see in their immediate family circle or in the lives of their relatives. They may think that they want to work in a similar field that they see their father doing.
Take time to talk to your students.
If they have financial problems, let me put before you other options of studying in non-traditional locations.
In the twentieth century, there were many countries colonized by the British Empire. They used English extensively in their education and culture. Somewhere in the middle of the century, all of these countries began to receive their independence one by one. These countries are still using English in education, commerce and industry. They also cooperate with one another in all these three areas.
They call themselves the commonwealth countries. These countries form an important grouping and at the same time, develop their education in the line of US, UK and Australian universities. Due to these important similarities in education, many multinational companies began to invest in the commonwealth countries. The people can be trained in a way that are productive to their headquaters in US, UK and Australia due to their education background.
The most attractive part for multinational companies to invest in Commonwealth countries is the low cost and high productivity of these investments.
In order to train students to work in international businesses and companies, many good universities in US, UK and Australia also set up their own branch campus in these countries. The cost for education in these branch campuses are only half or a third of the cost in the main campus.
So, if funding is a problem for your students, they can always study in these branch campuses. Many governments are also giving scholarships to enable students to study overseas, in order to experience a cross cultural learning.
Cross cultural learning has now become a very important aspect of education. Many US universities provide scholarships for good students from outside of America in order to provide these cross cultural elements within their own main campus.
Students studying in these commonwealth countries will receive the same education and certification from the main campus at half the cost plus the benefits of cross cultural learning.
