  1. Understand The Job Market

Once you have identified your gifts and talents, you need to understand the job market and try to match these two together. Try asking yourself the following questions:

Are you linguistic? Do you like to debate or give speeches? What are the jobs that require these skills?

Are you naturalistic? Do you generally like outdoor life and looking for little animals? Do you marvel at the different plant species? What are the jobs that require these skills?

According to Team Technology , an online business resources website, career types can be as follows:

    • Academia
    • Accountancy
    • Administration
    • Analysis
    • Arts
    • Computing
    • Counselling
    • Design
    • Engineering
    • Entrepreneur
    • Homemaking
    • Human Resources
    • Law
    • Librarian
    • Managerial
    • Marketing
    • Medical
    • Ministry
    • Nursing
    • Occupational
    • Personal Assistants
    • Project Management
    • Psychology
    • Research
    • Sales
    • Science
    • Teaching
    • Technical Specialities
    • Training
    • Writing

Choose a career type that matches your gifts and talents. This will give you a good chance of working out your passion in life. As you work out at your job after graduation, you will find fulfilment and joy. If you need any help in this area, please feel free to contact us through the "contact us" page.

  2. Understand Your Gifts and Talents

You are a very special person with many gifts and talents. Because you have many unique gifts and talents, you will also have a special inclination and passion to do some things more than others.

In order to understand your own gifts and talents,  take note of the things that you like to do. What are the things you enjoy doing and never grow tired of ? In fact you get energized whilst doing them!

I have a son who, since he was a child,  likes to take apart toys, clocks, machines and then putting them back.. Today, he is a senior engineer in a leading chip making company and enjoying his work tremendously.

What about you? What do you like to do?

According to a leading educationist Dr. Howard Gardner, people have multiple intelligences. Some are logical mathematical, some are linguistic, some musical, others spatial, spiritual, naturalistic, interpersonal or intrapersonal.

All these different gifts and talents (or intelligences) make you who you are. I will be pleased to help you understand your gifts.

  3. Choosing A University

Are you going to university in a few years' time?

Congratulations! You are at an exciting time in your life.

You ought to plan for it right now and not defer it till later. But do you know what you would like to study, and which university is suitable for you?

I suggest that you should consider carefully the following aspects:

    • What are your gifts and talents?
    • What are the needs of the job market?
    • What are the possible training options?
    • What are your plans?
    • How would you communicate your plan to your family?
    • Be willing to compromise and negotiate with your family.
