  1. Develop a Plan

God provides every fanily with sufficient resources for the next generation. If you plan early and share this plan lovingly with your family, you should be able to gain the support of your family members.

You can talk carefully to your family about your plan for the future. This plan should include the course you plan to study, the budget for your course, and the job you plan to take when you finish the course.

I suggest that unless you have some special reasons, your family's resources should be shared equally among all your family members.

I know of a family with three sons. The eldest son wanted to study overseas but was told that his family could not afford the expenses. The second and third sons went to study in another country. This arrangement has caused a rift between members of the family. It is now almost 20 years, the parents are old and sickly, but the eldest son is still angry and continue to believe that his parents had been unkind and unjust to him.

Every member of the family should know that his parents have lovingly prepared for his future. But you should also be realistic and resourceful yourself. willing to sacrifice your own comfort, using a smaller budget, and work to find some of your own resources will win you the support and respect from your family members. The sum of money you need from your parents should be estimated and laid on the table so that it is transparent. Then, a plan should be developed to save and to obtain this sum.

God provides every family with sufficient resources for the next generation. If you plan early and share this plan lovingly with your family, you should be able to gain the support of your family members.

You can discuss with your family about your plan for the future. This plan should include the course you plan to study, the budget for your course, and the job you plan to take when you finish the course.

I want to suggest to parents that unless you have some special reasons, the family's resources should be shared equally among  them.

I know of a family with three sons. The eldest son wanted to study overseas but was told that his family could not afford the expenses. However, the second and third sons were allowed to study in another country. This arrangement has caused a rift between members of the family. It is now almost 20 years; the parents are old and sickly, but the eldest son is still angry and continues to believe that his parents had been unkind and unjust to him.

Every member of the family should know that his parents have lovingly prepared for his future. But you should also be realistic and resourceful yourself. Be willing to sacrifice your own comfort, use a smaller budget, and work to find some of your own resources. This will win you the support and respect from your family members. The sum of money you need from your parents should be estimated and laid on the table so that it is transparent. Then a plan should be developed to try to obtain this sum.

  3. Look Out For All Training Options

During the last century, education was mainly thought of as the training of specific skills and memorisation of facts.

Today, with the globalization of many industries, employers are also looking for many soft skills like study skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills.

I know of a young man who is average in his grades. In his university days however, he had an opportunity to travel and work with  people from different backgrounds. As a result of this exposure,  he is currently succesful in leading an international marketing team and contributes immensely to his company.

I also remember a manager in a multinational technology company who believes strongly that one of the most important skills that a young person should possess is the ability to learn by himself as he works. That way, he is independent and efficient.

Many Commonwealth countries today offer good and inexpensive education using English as the medium of instruction. It is a good idea for you to look at all training opportunities open to you as English is an important international language. .

Studying abroad is also good training for you. It will train you to be independent and be able to work and communicate with people from diverse cultures and background.
