  1. Helping Your Child

     

    Let me share with you a few things that you can do to help your child.

    Firstly, it is important that you should understand his/ her gifts and talents. Your child is a very special person with many gifts and talents. As a result, he/ she has a special inclination and passion to do certain things more than others.

    In order to understand the gifts and talents of your child, and the things he/ she likes to do, you can begin to observe him/ her, and understand the things he/ she likes to do. Take time to share these precious moments with your child and talk to him/ her about it. Your child's gifts and talents are the most important treasures for the future.

    Secondly, your child will require training to prepare him/ her for the future. There are three important aspects when choosing a college that will train him/ her. Your child will need to choose a program offered by a college; some funds are needed to see him/ her through those years; and certain qualifications are required by the college.

    When you help your child choose a learning program in a college, bear in mind that  it should be one that develops his gifts and talents in a way that matches the job market that he/ she will be entering.

    You will need some funds to see your child through college. The amount of funding is not so important because you will be able to find a college that matches your budget. However, your child must be able to see your love and sacrifice through your willingness to provide for his/ her needs.

    Then you will need to help your child qualify for the learning program in college. You can do that by monitoring your child's progress in the various academic subjects that are related to the course. Exceling in extra curricular activities will also help your child to gain admission in college.

    Finally, you will need to discuss your plan with your family. Make it a family project, and be willing to adjust your plan when you receive feed back from your family.

    We believe that people have different gifts and talents.

    Prof. Howard Gardner listed 8 intelligences that people have. They are  linguistic,  mathematical, naturalistic, kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal and spiritual. All of us are different because we are talented differently. We are good at different things. Because we are good at different things, we also like to do the  things that we are good at. And we will also find that we can naturally do these things well.

    Therefore, we believe that people like to do different things. Moreover when you are doing the things that you are good at, you will not only enjoy doing them but also receive more positive energy as well.

    We believe that if you are passionate at your job, you will excel in it. You keep wanting to do better. Over the months and years, you will find that you are way ahead of your colleaques.

    We believe that you will be happy and fulfilled if you are happy at your job. You will then help to make this world a better place and hopefully influence your family and community positively.

    Today, we live in a globalized world with many people working outside their country of origin. Companies  also outsource their products and services.

    We believe that it is important to get an overseas education. This is because an overseas education will give you a lot of experiences that you will not learn from books. It will help you learn how to get along with people from different cultural backgrounds. And in today's globalized world, it is important to have cross cultural learning.

    We believe that it is important to be fluent  in English since many multinational companies use English as the language at work. You need to read, speak fluently and write in good English if you want to grow in your career..

    We know that you are born for great things. You only need to discover your gifts and talents and further develop them.  Prof. Howard Gardner from Harvard University have shown that people have multiple intelligences. It is the unique combination of these intelligences that make you so special.

    You are also wired in a certain way. Your strength and the area of your struggles will determine your areas of contributions in the years to come. Research has shown that the behaviour characteristics of people can be grouped into 4 major personality types and these are: dominant, influencing, steady and correct. Your unique personality profile will be a combination of these personality traits.

    There is a job out there waiting  for you that will need your gifts and talents and just right for your personality type. I would love to help you prepare for this job. When you have found a job that fires your passion and fulfill your potential, you will be a productive and happy person.
